Propiedades psicométricas de las Escalas FIQ-R, ODI y PIPS, en población mexicana con síndrome de fibromialgia

    Las escalas Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire Revised (FIQ-R), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) y Psychological Inflexibility in Pain Scale (PIPS), se adaptaron al idioma español y se validaron para población con síndrome de fibromialgia. Se evalúo transversalmente a 228 pacientes de nacionalidad mexicana. A través de Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio se obtuvieron los modelos de mejor ajuste para cada escala. Los resultados concluyeron en estructuras de dos factores para el FIQ-R, y de un factor para el ODI y la PIPS. Se discuten las diferencias entre las escalas originales y los modelos resultantes, destacándose la relevancia de realizar procesos de validación cultural y psicométrica con métodos actuales y ajustados para el tipo de variables a medir.

    The following scales: Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire- Revised (FIQ-R), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and Psychological Inflexibility in Pain Scale (PIPS), were adapted to Spanish and validated for population with fibromyalgia syndrome. A total of 228 Mexican patients were cross evaluated. Confirmatory Factor Analysis revealed best fit models for each scale. The results concluded in a two-factor model for the FIQ-R, and one-factor for the ODI and for the PIPS. The differences between the original and the resulting models are discussed. The relevance of cultural and psychometric validation with current processes and adjusted methods for the type of variables are highlighted.
