El objetivo de este trabajo es reflexionar acerca de la inserción del psicólogo y las estrate - gias de intervención con las familias y el equipo médico en los Servicios de Rehabilitación Nutricional y Consultorio Externo de Recién Nacidos de Alto Riesgo, (Neonatología), del Hospital de Niños de La Plata, Provincia de Buenos Aires, República Argentina.
En dichos equipos se asiste a una población de alto riesgo social y alto riesgo biológico, respectivamente, encuadrando el trabajo en el contexto teórico de la psicología del desarrollo.
Se realizan evaluaciones periódicas utilizando la Escala Rodríguez (E.E.D.P) y la Escala Nancy Bayley, y tras realizar el diagnóstico se interviene confeccionando programas de pro - moción del desarrollo personalizados, con un seguimiento a mediano y corto plazo.
Por último se describen las dificultades halladas en el trabajo con esta población, interro - gando las estrategias utilizadas con las familias y con el equipo médico a los fines de que exista un mayor intercambio de información con los mismos.
he aim of this work is to consider the insertion of the psichologist and the intervention strategies used with the families and with the medical staff in the Nutritional Rehabilitation Services and in the Consulting Room of High Risk Newborns of the Children’s Hospital of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The above mentioned services respectively assist a population of a high social and biologi - cal risk. Fitting our work in the theorical context of the development psychology, we have done periodic evaluations using the Rodríguez Scale (E.E.D.P) and the Nancy Bayley Scale; and after reaching the diagnosis we have intervened preparing personalizad programmes for the development promotion with a middle and short term control.
Finally, we describe the difficulties found in the work with said population, wondering about the strategies employed with the families and with the medical staff in order to obtain a greater exchange of information with them.
