The Covid-19 pandemic disrupted the societal way of life. In the context of children’s social practices, aspects related to play underwent transformations, putting this right at risk. Therefore, this research presents children’s perspectives on play and its unfolding during the pandemic. Using Social Representations Theory as a theoretical framework, the study aimed to understand the social representations of play and its relationship with digital technologies, as shared by children from the municipality of Paulista – PE, within the pandemic context. The study was structured around the creation of drawings accompanied by commentary from 33 children aged between 9 and 12 years. In the results, the construction of categories made it possible to identify the objectification of social representations regarding the discussed theme, through experiences and relationships established through play, expressed in the emotions depicted in the drawings, that is, making visible something that belongs to the abstract world and is internalized.
