Empoderamiento LGBT+: una exploración cualitativa de la identidad social y el ciberactivismo en la disidencia sexual

    Este artículo presenta información innovadora sobre identidad social, ciberactivismo y empoderamiento colectivo LGBT+. El objetivo fue obtener un mejor entendimiento sobre las experiencias que vive la comunidad LGBT+ en México, al ser una comunidad históricamente desfavorecida. Se realizó un análisis ad hoc por medio de un análisis de nube de palabras y un análisis de categorización sobre la transcripción de 18 entrevistas semiestructuradas. Participaron seis personas, las cuales se identificaron como parte de la comunidad LGBT+. Los resultados presentan tres puntos clave: la conexión entre la identidad personal y social, los sentimientos que generan un empoderamiento colectivo y la acción social efectuada desde el ciberactivismo. En conclusión, el empoderamiento colectivo, la identidad social y el activismo, tanto en línea como fuera de línea, inspiran a los miembros de la comunidad LGBT+ a tener confianza y seguridad para expresar libremente quiénes son y a desarrollar una conexión para llevar a cabo un cambio social a su favor.

    This article presents innovative information on social identity, cyberactivism, and collective empowerment of LGBT+ individuals. The objective was to gain a better understanding of the experiences of the LGBT+ community in Mexico, as it is a historically disadvantaged community. An ad hoc analysis was conducted using word cloud analysis and categorization analysis on the transcript of 18 semi-structured interviews. Six people participated, all of whom identified as part of the LGBT+ community. The results present three key points: the connection between personal and social identity, the feelings that generate collective empowerment, and social action carried out through cyberactivism. In conclusion, collective empowerment, social identity, and activism, both online and offline, inspire members of the LGBT+ community to have the confidence and security to freely express who they are and to develop a connection to bring about social change in their favor.
