El siguiente artículo ofrece una mirada del desarrollo de la psicología en Argentina resaltando el papel de las mujeres en dicho proceso. En un primer momento se presentan las particularidades de la psicología en Argentina en la etapa pre-profesional y profesional para luego analizar líneas de continuidad entre lo acaecido a nivel nacional y en la ciudad de Mar del Plata tomando las voces de mujeres psicólogas. La periodización se fundamenta en hitos disciplinares y toma el corte 1960-1996. Metodológicamente se apela a registros de archivo y principalmente a la entrevista en profundidad tomando herramientas de la historia oral y la historia desde la perspectiva de género. En cuanto al rol profesional se observa un viraje temprano del magisterio y la educación hacia la práctica clínica como principal espacio de ejercicio y modelo identitario de las psicólogas.
The following article offers a look at the development of psychology in Argentina, highlighting the role of women in this process. At first, the particularities of psychology in Argentina are presented in the pre-professional and professional stage and then lines of continuity between what happened at the national level and in the city of Mar del Plata are analyzed, taking the voices of women psychologists.
The periodization is based on disciplinary milestones and takes the period 1960-1996. Methodologically, archival records and mainly in-depth interviews are used, taking tools from oral history and history from a gender perspective. Regarding the professional role an early shift is observed from teaching and education towards clinical practice as the main space of practice and identity model of psychologists.
