This paper presents a review of social ability programs that are applied to handicaped pupils in order to improve the school mainstreaming programs. Is describes six different kinds of strategies: coaching, moldeling couseling, positive reinforcement, group of contingencies and behavior cognitive modification, and it give an account of the most relevant autcomes of research in each. The article enfatizes, at the same time, the importance of delabeling this kind of pupils and promoting a process of the regular integration in the normal classroom. This process is necesary for the permanence and transfer of these abilities.
