La inclusión social de mujeres musulmanas en Andalucía (España) es muy importante. Entendemos la integración social como la capacidad para participar activamente en la sociedad de acogida. En este artículo, presentamos los principales resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo fue analizar cuatro cuestiones claves que influyen directamente en su proceso de integración social: (1) Aislamiento social. (2) Religión, idioma y velo. (3) Trabajo desempeñado en Andalucía. (4) Efectos derivados de la pandemia. Para ello, hemos utilizado la metodología cualitativa. A través de la entrevista en profundidad hemos dado voz a las reflexiones de nuestras informantes claves. Los resultados muestran la necesidad de poner en marcha actuaciones eficaces que favorezcan la integración y participación sociolaboral de mujeres marroquíes en Andalucía, donde queden erradicadas situaciones de exclusión social. Resulta imprescindible el conocimiento de esta realidad para visibilizarlas, avanzar en materia de derechos humanos y conseguir su empoderamiento en la sociedad de acogida.
The social inclusion of Muslim women in Andalusia (Spain) is very important. Social integration is conceived as the ability to actively participate in the host society. In this article, we present the main findings of research aimed at analysing four key issues that directly influence this group’s social integration process: (1) social isolation; (2) religion, language and veil; (3) work carried out in Andalusia; and (4) effects arising from the pandemic. We used a qualitative methodology to conduct the study, with in-depth interviews to reflect the viewsgive of our key informants. The results show the need to implement effective actions that encourage the integration and social participation of Moroccan women in Andalusia and eradicate situations of social exclusion. It is essential to be aware of this reality in order to make this group visible, to advance their human rights and to achieve their empowerment in the host society.
