La distinción conceptual entre espiritualidad y religiosidad es muy compleja, ya que tienen características que se superponen, sin embargo, su significado último es diferente.Ambas variables no son conceptos excluyentes y pueden solaparse o existir separadamente, por lo tanto, deben ser cuidadosamente categorizados e interpretados.El presente artículo se propone presentar el estado del arte relativo de las definicionesde los términos espiritualidad y religiosidad en el campo de la psicología como asítambién, indicar similitudes y diferencias.
The conceptual distinction between spirituality and religiosity is very complex since they have overlapping characteristics. However, their ultimate meaning is different. These variables are not mutually exclusive and can either overlap or exist separately; therefore, they must be carefully categorized and interpreted.The article presents a conceptual review of the definitions of the terms spirituality and religiosity in the field of psychology indicating similarities and differences between them.
