Resumen de Psychometric properties of the Connectedness to Nature Scale tested on a sample of University Students

• Connectedness to Nature is defined as the extent to which an individual includes nature within his/her cognitive representation of self. The Connectedness to Nature Scale by Mayer and Frantz (2004) measures this concept. This research examines the scale's psychometric properties including the reliability and validity (exploratory and confirmatory) of a Spanish adaptation of the Scale, administered to a sample of 430 university students. The results reveal one principal factor, which indicates the degree of connectedness with the natural environment. The concept of connectedness is also reviewed.
