La pandemia COVID-19 ha traído a la actualidad la extendida preocupación por los problemas psicológicos y psiquiátricos que existe en la ciudadanía y los medios de comunicación. También nos ha colocado ante la evidencia del gran impacto que los determinantes sociales y de género ejercen sobre la salud y, en concreto, sobre la salud mental. En las siguientes páginas se hará un resumen de esta cuestión, se describirá el estado actual de la praxis psiquiátrica en función de algunas teorías que la sustentan y se intentará llegar a conclusiones útiles.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the present the widespread concern about the psychological and psychiatric problems that exist in the citizenship and the media. It also placed us before the evidence of the great impact that social and gender determinants exert on the health and expecifically, on mental health. A summary of this issue will be provided on the following pages, The current state of psychiatric praxis will be described based on some theories that support it and an attempt will be made to reach useful conclusions.
