Esta investigación buscó identificar la relación de tener o no empleo con el bienestar subjetivo, considerando como variables mediadoras a la resistencia psicológica y al apoyo social, a través de la comparación entre empleados y desempleados, usando un diseño de grupos pareados. No hubo diferencias estadísticamente significativas en apoyo social y bienestar subjetivo entre empleados y desempleados, pero sí en la resistencia, siendo ésta mayor en los empleados; en ambos grupos la resistencia y el apoyo social se relacionaron causalmente con el bienestar subjetivo.
This research tried to find the relationship of having or not having employment with subjective wellbeing, considering hardiness and social support as mediational variables, through the com- parison between employed and unemployed people, using a paired groups design. There were no significant differences in social support and subjective wellbeing between both groups, but it did was more hardiness in employees; in both groups, hardiness and social support were causally related with subjective wellbeing
