El estudio ausculto la relación entre la civilidad, incivilidad y el bienestar asociado al trabajo de un grupo de 390 empleados en Puerto Rico. Los resultados indican que existen correlaciones positivas y significativas entre la civilidad y las emociones positivas asociadas al trabajo, así como entre la incivilidad y las emociones negativas asociadas al trabajo. Al comparar por género, las mujeres obtuvieron puntuaciones más altas en civilidad y los hombres en incivilidad. El grupo de personas que supervisa obtuvo puntuaciones más altas en civilidad. Al comparar los empleados de empresas públicas y privadas no se obtuvieron diferencias estadísticamente significativas.AbstractThe purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between civility, incivility and the job related well-being in a group of 390 employees in Puerto Rico. Results showed positive correlations between civility and job related positive emotions and between incivility and job related negative emotions. When compared by gender, women obtained higher scores in civility and men in incivility. The group of supervisors scored higher in civility. No significant differences were obtained between public and private organizations.
