SummaryThe Quality of Life, defined perceptually, of two groups of Venezuelan university professors was compared in order to detect inter and intra group differences. The results of the analysis of the information obtained in a survey of two, randomly selected samples of teachers from two Venezuelan state universities (Ss. c 76 and Ss. - 33), stratified according to Gender, Division (Humanities/Physical Sciences) and Dedication (word hours per week), indicated that the General Perceived Quality of Life of both groups was satisfactory. However, the data revealed significant between group differences associated with regional conditions. These results also showed significant inter group differences in the perception and evaluation of conditions present in work, family and social-community contexts. The analysis of the data also indicated that womem professors constitute the most dissatisfied sector of the population.
