Based on the textual analysis of the two Argentine films with the greatest impact on the dictatorship in recent years, El secreto de sus ojos and El clan, this article argues that there are currently two tendencies to represent the horrors of the military regime –after several decades in which the death of Argentine citizens was avoided–:
the symbolic story and the sinister story. The text is based on and puts into practice the Theory of the Text, developed by Jesús González Requena.
A partir del análisis textual de los dos filmes argentinos de mayor repercusión en los últimos años sobre la dictadura, El secreto de sus ojos y El clan, el presente artículo plantea que actualmente existen dos tendencias para representar los horrores del régimen militar –después de varias décadas en las que se evitó llevar a cuadro la muerte de ciudadanos argentinos–: el relato simbólico y el relato siniestro. El texto se fundamenta y pone en práctica la Teoría del texto, desarrollada por Jesús González Requena.
