Analizamos, desde un punto de vista biológico y espiritual, la singular relación primaria que tiene toda madre con su hijo. A continuación, abordamos la experiencia de la muerte del hijo; no sólo el sentimiento materno ante semejante desgracia, sino, también, de qué manera se ponen en juego las raíces más íntimas de la propia mujer ante un mundo en el que ahora se encuentra desolada. Intentamos con ello, en fin, destacar el carácter absolutamente incomparable de la madre en duelo por el hijo perdido.
We analyse, from a biological and spiritual point of view, the unique primary relationship that every mother has with her child. We then discuss the experience of the death of the child, the mother's feelings in the face of such misfortune, and also how the most intimate roots of the woman are brought into play in a world where she is now desolate. In this way we try to highlight the absolutely incomparable nature of the situation in which a mother is grieving her lost son.
