dado que el desplazamiento forzado interno de indígenas colombianos continúa incrementando, es necesario continuar estudiando las repercusiones que este fenómeno puede llegar a tener sobre la salud indígena. Objetivo: dilucidar las relaciones entre desplazamiento forzado interno por conflicto armado y salud mental en indígenas colombianos. Metodología: estudio cualitativo con técnicas mixtas, basado en pensamiento complejo. Resultados: el conflicto armado colombiano ha forzado a la población indígena, a desplazarse desde su entorno rural a escenarios urbanos, afectando su modo de vida. De las consecuencias del conflicto armado, la familia y la comunidad son las más alteradas, ponen en juego la integración y por ende el colectivo, ya que las dinámicas relacionales se transforman y se reorganizan para afrontar una nueva realidad. Conclusiones: el conflicto armado ha afectado a los indígenas por desterritorialización y a través de la pérdida, transformación y desestructuración de su cultura; siendo ambos asuntos determinantes de la salud mental indígena.
Background: the forced internal displacement of Colombian indigenous people continues to increase; it is necessary to continue studying the repercussions that this phenomenon may have on indigenous health. Objective: The aim of this study was to elucidate the different associations between mental health and forced displacement due to armed conflict in indigenous people in Colombia. Methodology: A qualitative method based on complex thinking was used, in conjunction with mixed techniques. Results: Armed conflict in Colombia has forced indigenous population groups to abandon their rural environment and move to urban settings, and thus their way of life is affected. In this population groups, the social institutions most affected by this situation are the family and the community, for the integration of the group and the group itself are compromised as the dynamic relationships among its members transformed and reorganized to face a new reality. Conclusions: Based on the findings of this study it is possible to conclude that armed conflict in Colombia has had a negative impact in indigenous peoples by making them abandon their ancestral territories and transform or even lose their culture, which are two aspects exerting a great influence on the mental health of indigenous individuals.
