The study of attitudes towards oneself (self-concept) helps us to understand the formation of the personality, since they influence what each person thinks, what he feels, how he behaves, and allows to know the personal and social conditions that can trigger their change. In this research we analysedthe studies that relate the attitudes of the young towards themselves and the variables age and sex.In order to describe the state of the art, a narrative review was conducted. The reviewed papers highlight the existence of a complex relationship between self-concept and each of the studied variables.
O estudo das atitudes face a si próprio – autoconceito - permite compreender a formação da personalidade. Nesta investigação analisaram-se as pesquisas que relacionam as atitudes dos jovens face a si próprios e as variáveis idade e sexo. Para descrever o estado da arte, a metodologia utilizada consistiu na revisão da literatura de tipo narrativa. Os trabalhos revistos salientam a relação entre as atitudes face a si próprio e cada uma das variáveis.
