El objetivo del estudio era determinar el perfil del puesto de Policía Local a través de la declaración de descriptivos de competencias laborales y de las imágenes mentales de los policías locales. 24 policías locales aportaron descriptores referidos a la imagen del mejor Policía Local, y evaluaron la relevancia de las pruebas de selección. Los resultados indicaron que los descriptivos más frecuentes se referían a las competencias de Colaboración, Flexibilidad, Excelencia, Conocimientos técnicos y Trabajo en Equipo, y que las pruebas de evaluación más relevantes eran los conocimientos, los psicotécnicos y las aptitudes físicas.
The objective of this study is to determine the competency profile in the local police post through the declaration of descriptive adjectives of jobcompetencies and the recovery of the mental images of theseprofessionals. 24 local police membersparticipated and contributed the descriptors to the image of the best local police, as well as evaluated the relevance of the selection tests of these professionals. The results showedthat the most frequent descriptions refer to the competences of collaboration, flexibility, excellence, technical knowledge and teamwork,and, on the other hand, that the most relevant selection tests were knowledge, psychologicaland physical aptitude tests.
