Due to the necessity to find solutions for students who take Engineering degrees and have lack of basic and elementary knowledge in Mathematics, in 2015 it has begun a project of awareness of Coimbra Institute of Engineering (ISEC) educational community, towards the implementation of a Math Support Centre in Engineering (CeAMatE). In this article, we present the results of two working years on CeAMatE, which allows us to find solutions to overcome the constraints founded and ideas to improve future work and help the admission of students that will attend Engineering degrees at ISEC, preparing them to a full integration on the curricular units of Differential and Integral Calculus.
Tentando responder à necessidade de auxiliar os alunos que ingressaram em licenciaturas de Engenharia e que manifestam falta de conhecimentos básicos e elementares de matemática, em 2015 encetou-se um processo de consciencialização da comunidade educativa do Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra (ISEC), para a implementação de um Centro de Apoio à Matemática na Engenharia. Neste artigo apresentam-se os resultados dos dois anos de trabalho realizado, que permitam encontrar soluções para ultrapassar os constrangimentos encontrados e propostas para trabalho futuro que potenciem o bom acolhimento dos alunos que ingressam nas licenciaturas em Engenharia do ISEC
