El psicólogo italiano A.Gemelli, O.F.M., figura notable de la psicología del siglo XX, mantuvo relaciones bastante estrechas , y en algún caso fuertemente controvertidas, con figuras de la psicología española, como Emilio Mira y José Germain. Además, en cierto momento hizo reflexiones personales sobre la guerra civil española, asumiendo opiniones fuertemente conservadoras respecto a la misma. Al término de los conflictos, apoyó no obstante el núcleo creado por J. Germain desde el que se iba a reconstruir la psicología científica en España
Father A. Gemelli, OFM, was a distinguished 20th-century Italian psychologist who maintained close relationship with some of the leading Spanish applied psychologists at the time. Some of these relations happened to be strongly controversial, as those held with Emilio Mira and José Germain. Furthermore, at a certain moment, Gemelli expressed a number of personal reflections on the Spanish Civil War where he adopted deeply conservative views on the matter. However, once the conflict was over, he lent his support to the group created by J. Germain, from which scientific psychology in Spain was to be finally reconstructed in the years to follow
