Resumen de Perfeccionismo, autorepresentación perfeccionista y síntomas depresivos en adolescentes paraguayos según género y grado

  Este estudio comparó dimensiones negativas del perfeccionismo, autopresentación perfeccionista, y síntomas depresivos según género y grado en adolescentes de habilidad intelectual por encima de la media de una escuela privada de Asunción, Paraguay. Instrumentos fueron el Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale (CAPS), Perfectionistic Self-Presentation Scale (PSPS-V), y el Inventario de Depresión de Beck-II (BDI-II). Un análisis de varianza multivariado halló diferencias significativas según género, pero no según grado ni en la interacción género X grado. Pruebas t post-hoc indicaron que las mujeres demostraron más síntomas depresivos, sin diferencias en perfeccionismo ni autopresentación perfeccionista.

  This study compared negative dimensions of perfectionism, perfectionistic self-presentation, and depressive symptoms by gender and grade in adolescents of above average intellectual ability in a private school in Asunción, Paraguay. Instruments included the Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale (CAPS), the Perfectionistic Self-Presentation Scale (PSPS-V), and the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). A multivariate analysis of variance found significant differences by gender but neither by grade nor a gender X grade interaction. Post hoc t tests found that females showed more depressive symptoms, yet no differences emerged in perfectionism or perfectionistic self-presentation.
