El objetivo del presente estudio fue identificar la relación entre los estilos de comunicación y la satisfacción en adultos jóvenes. Participaron 278 hombres y mujeres estudiantes universitarios de nueve carreras profesionales, con rango de edad 20 a 30 años y un promedio de 22 años. Se aplicó la Escala de Estilos de Comunicación y Satisfacción Sexual elaborada para tal fin, esta compuesta por 61 afirmaciones con respuestas del 1 al 5, con un alpha total de .85 y una varianza de 42.58%. En los resultados destacan correlaciones positivas moderadas entre los factores “estilo de comunicación apertura” y “satisfacción sexual”; también destacan diferencias significativas entre hombres y mujeres con respecto al empleo de los estilos de comunicación. Se concluye que el uso de un determinado estilo de comunicación entre los miembros de la pareja, influye directamente en su satisfacción sexual.
The general goal of this research is identify the relation between communication styles and sexual satisfaction in young adults. The participants were 278 men and woman university students of nine professional careers, with range of age 20 to 30 years and an average of 22 years. It applied the styles scale of communication and sexual satisfaction and it’s compound by 61 affirmations with answers of 1 to 5, with a total alpha of .85 and a variance of 42.58%. In the results standing out moderate positive correlations between the factors “opening communication style” and “sexual satisfaction” also standing out significant differences between men and women with regard to the use of the communication styles. To the analyze the results in this research, it found out that use a determinate communication style between the members of the couple, influence directly in the sexual satisfaction.
