En Almería, España, el trabajo sexual es realizado principalmente por mujeres migrantes extranjeras, en diferentes contextos y escenarios de prostitución, donde transcurren sus vidas, bajo deficientes condiciones habitacionales y con dificultad de acceso a servicios de salud y sociales dentro la provincia. Además de enfrentarse a una actividad altamente estigmatizada por la sociedad. Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación etnográfica en la cual, el objetivo central ha sido conocer y realizar un análisis, de cómo se articulan los sistemas de género y los modelos de salud, a través del proceso de salud y enfermedad dentro del ejercicio de la prostitución y sus efectos en la salud bio-psico-social de las mujeres migrantes extranjeras e integración social.
