El presente artículo resume los aspectos más significativos del desarrollo de la neuropsicología como disciplina científica en el Ecuador. Esta evolución no puede escindirse del avance académico e investigativo, por lo tanto, se agregan las inserciones de la neuropsicología en los ambientes académicos a nivel de Pre y Postgrado en las universidades ecuatorianas. Se resaltan algunos hitos históricos, que desde la perspectiva de los autores, han sido fundamentales en la implementación de esta disciplina.
The present article summarizes the most significant aspects of the development of the neuropsychology as scientific discipline in the Ecuador. This evolution cannot split of the academic advance and investigative, therefore, they add the insertions of the neuropsychology in the academic environments to Pre's level and Postdegree in the Ecuadoran universities. There are highlighted some historical milestones, which from the perspective of the authors, have been fundamental in the implementation of this discipline.
