Aquest estudi explora el tema de la satisfacció laboral en el sector educatiu a la Comunitat Valenciana. En concret, el propòsit d’aquesta investigació és determinar si hi ha diferències entre el professorat dels nivells no universitaris en relació amb la seua condició d’home o dona, amb el tipus de contracte laboral que tenen –temporal versus permanent– i a la titularitat dels col·legis –públics versus privats– on desenvolupen la seua tasca. En aquest treball s’ha comptat amb una mostra de 209 docents. Els resultats de l’estudi indiquen que hi ha diferències signifi catives en els termes següents: el professorat femení i els empleats temporals, així com els docents que treballen als col·legis privats, mostren les majors puntuacions en satisfacció laboral.
This study explores the topic job satisfaction in the educational sector in Valencian Community. In short, the purpose of this paper is to determine if exist differences among non-university teachers acccording to their gender –man and woman–, the type of labor contract that they have –temporary vs. permanent– and the ownership of the schools where they work –public vs privat–.
In this study we had a sample of 209 teachers. The results indicated the existence of signifi cant differences in the following terms: the female-teachers, the temporary employees and the teachers who work in private schools show the largest scores in job satisfaction.
