L'aplicació sistemàtica de la regla de submissió -aquella per la qual s'utilitza la llengua dominant en presència d'un parlant identifica amb aquesta- és un dels problemes més greus que caracteritza la situació de l'ús del valencià en àrees importants del domini lingüístic per a un nombre considerable de subpoblacions de parlants. En aquest treball es presenta un model matemàtic binomial per al càlcul del seu impacte demostrant com la regla de submissió condueix a un procés de minorització lingüística, a la substitució lingüística i a la destrucció del valencià, al mateix temps que reforça l'arrelada concepció autodestructiva de la llengua.
The rule of submission consits in the use of dominant language in the presence of a speaker of the dominant language regardless of the language of the other speakers. The systematic applicaton of this rule is one of the most serious problems that characterize the use of the Valencian language. It affects many subpopulations in big areas of the linguistic domain. This paper presents a binomial model for estimating the effects of the rule of submission. The model shows how the rule of submissions produces a progresive process in wich the language is first hidden and finally substituted while a self-destructive conception of the language is reinforced.
