The study of health beliefs shows that it is during the adolescent period that takes place the formation of these important repertoires that will determine in part the behaviors related to health along life. The present study explore several health and disease beliefs in a sample of 70 type I diabetic teenagers (8-15 years old). Results confirm that adolescence is a relevant moment in the formation of health and illness beliefs and some differences between beliefs showed for diabetic teenagers
