Este artículo pretende ofrecer una visión histórica sobre los inicios y evolución de la técnica de visualización, hasta la actualidad, aportando una breve revisión sobre sus diferentes usos y su aplicación clínica en enfermos de cáncer. Por último, se incluye la llamada terapia de Visualización de los Simonton haciendo referencia a la controversia suscitada sobre si el uso de técnicas psicológicas, y en concreto la visualización, tienen o no repercusión en la supervivencia de los enfermos oncológicos.
The article is attempting to offer a historical vision on the evolution and beginning of technology of visualization. He gave a brief review on his different uses and his clinical application up to the present about patients with cancer.Finally, included in the article is the called visualization of the Simonton Therapy, referring to the controversy provoke on if the use of psychological technologies, and in the make concrete the visualization, they have or not repercussion in the survival of the oncology patients
