La adecuada medición de la fatiga laboral es esencial para evaluar su impacto en la salud y el rendimiento de los trabajadores. Usando la metodología PRISMA, se revisaron las bases de datos Web of Science y Scopus desde 1900 hasta 2024, empleando los términos "work fatigue", "inventory", "scale" y "tool". Se identificaron 128 artículos, de los cuales 12 cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión, centrados en instrumentos de autoreporte. La mayoría de los estudios son transversales y no probabilísticos, concentrándose en el año 2021.
Once estudios reportaron confiabilidad (Alfa de Cronbach>.70) y nueve validez. Destacan por sus propiedades psicométricas el Inventario Tridimensional de Fatiga Laboral (3D-WFI) y el Inventario de Fatiga Ocupacional (SOFI). La fatiga laboral se relaciona con el estrés, demandas físicas y emocionales y falta de claridad en los roles, provocando problemas de salud mental y afectando la motivación, la concentración y la calidad del trabajo.
Proper measurement of work fatigue is essential to assess its impact on workers' health and performance. Using the PRISMA methodology, the Web of Science and Scopus databases were reviewed from 1900 to 2024, using the terms “work fatigue”, “inventory”, “scale” and “tool”. A total of 128 articles were identified, of which 12 met the inclusion criteria, focusing on self-report instruments. Most of the studies are cross-sectional and nonprobabilistic, concentrating on the year 2021. Eleven studies reported reliability (Cronbach's alpha>.70) and nine assessed validity. The Three-Dimensional Work Fatigue Inventory (3D-WFI) and the Occupational Fatigue Inventory (SOFI) stand out for their psychometric properties. Occupational fatigue is related to stress, physical and emotional demands, lack of role clarity, causing mental health problems and affecting motivation, concentration and quality of work.
