Schooling is not something external and casual for a person, it is a long experience with a deep and singular meaning that covers an important period in human development. This article helps to reflect on the posible contributions of psychoanalysis in the educational world, understanding it as a possible theory, which, together with others and with other aspects, can provide a way of understanding what is at stake in learning. Today’ school must be a space of construction where subjectivity matters. Psychoanalysis might be useful to study the relationship established between the teacher and the student in the framework of a transferential relationship. Transference and desire are the driving forces of the psycho-logical fact of learning. The relationships established with peers might also be determinant for their future
