This text shares the findings of a research project focused on analyzing the experiences of four class groups made up of 120 students who were part of the first generation to take the mandatory course Gender, Feminisms, Violence, and Human Rights at the Faculty of Psychology (FP) at UNAM-Mexico. The purpose of this research is to analyze how it impacted their personal lives and professional development, as well as to identify areas for improvement in the subject in relation to content, strategies, and resources for mainstreaming the Gender Perspective (PEG). The main findings call for comprehensive training that considers the PEG throughout the entire degree program and not just in a single subject. They also highlight the importance of articulating the topic of masculinities, recognizing that the PEG is not a women-only approach. Finally, the inclusion of a few subjects is not enough; the entire university curriculum must be rethought and challenged, as it must explicitly promote respect for diversity and gender equality from an intersectional perspective.
