En este artículo sostengo desde una perspectiva deconstructiva que, si bien el sujeto del significante subvierte ciertos motivos cartesianos, aún reproduce el borde cartesiano entre el humano y el animal-máquina. Para dar cuenta de esto, en primer lugar, abordo la literalización del sujeto efectuada por Lacan en los años del retorno a Freud. En segundo lugar, hago manifiesta, a través de la estrategia deconstructiva de Derrida, la reproducción, interna y externa del borde cartesiano en el sujeto del significante. En tercer lugar, analizo la recepción contemporánea del sujeto del significante y la exclusión del animal. Finalmente, propongo, a través de la figura del parlêtre, pensar la dimensión comunitaria del significante incluyendo a todos los vivientes.
In this article, I argue from a deconstructive perspective that although the subject of the signifier subverts certain Cartesian motifs, it still reproduces the Cartesian border between the human and the animal-machine. To substantiate this claim, I first examine Lacan’s literalization of the subject during the years of his return to Freud. Second, drawing on Derrida’s deconstructive strategy, I make manifest both the internal and external reproduction of the Cartesian boundary within the subject of the signifier. Third, I analyze contemporary receptions of the subject of the signifier and the exclusion of the animal. Finally, through the figure of the parlêtre, I propose rethinking the communal dimension of the signifier so as to include all living beings.
