El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar las problemáticas comportamentales y emocionales de 60 niños de 2 a 5 años de edad, de ambos sexos, nacidos prematuros y a término, que pertenecen a familias en condiciones de vulnerabilidad social de la provincia de Tucumán. Se utilizó el Cuestionario sobre el Comportamiento de niños/as (Child Behavior Check List, CBCL) de 1 año y 6 meses a 5 años y 11 meses (Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001), instrumento estandarizado para registrar los problemas comportamentales y emocionales, teniendo como marco de referencia teórico la Evaluación Psicológica Infantil aplicada y el modelo de la psicopatología infantil. Los resultados de este estudio indican una mayor prevalencia de problemas emocionales, tanto internalizantes como externalizantes, en niños que nacieron prematuros en comparación con sus pares con nacimiento a término. Estos datos permiten identificar tempranamente factores de riesgo para implementar estrategias de intervenciones eficaces y oportunas.
The objective of this research was to analyze the behavioral and emotional problems of 60 children from 2 to 5 years of age, of both sexes, born prematurely and at term, who belong to families in conditions of social vulnerability in the province of Tucumán. The Child Behavior Check List (CBCL) was used from 1 year and 6 months to 5 years and 11 months (Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001), a standardized instrument to record behavioral and emotional problems, considering as a theoretical framework, the applied Child Psychological Evaluation and the model of child psychopathology. The results of this study indicate a higher prevalence of emotional problems, both internalizing and externalizing, in children who were born preterm compared to their full-term peers. These data allow early identification of risk factors to implement effective and timely intervention strategies.
