Resumen de Creatividad como estilo cognitivo

  Frente a una concepción clásica de la creatividad como un comportamiento más bien correspondiente a los momentos finales del procesamiento de la información, el presente trabajo intenta una aproximación teórica global al fenómeno desde la perspectiva de la psicología diferencial cognoscitiva, en la que se sugiere una interpretación de la creatividad como estilo cognitivo, es decir como un particular modo de aproximarse cognitivamente al entorno y de plantear y resolver sus problemas.

  La investigación empírica confirma básicamente los presupuestos de partida, pudiéndose encontrar diferencias individuales atribuibles a la creatividad en procesos de atención, memoria, representación con matices, imágenes cognitivas y metáforas, en las formas de utilización de los esquemas cognitivos, y en algunos indicios respecto de la distribución funcional y los recursos atencionales del procesamiento.

  Como identificador básico del estilo cognitivo creatividad se propone la elaboración de cuestiones, forma elemental de generación de esquemas cognitivos desde esquemas previos.

  Contrasted to the traditional view of Psychology that envisages creativity as a behaviour mainly to be found at the last stages of information-processing, this work is an attempt to approach the phenomenon in a more holistic way; from the perspective of Differential Cognitive Psychology. It proposes the interpretation of Creativity as a cognitive style, that is, as a way of approaching the environment cognitively and of resolving and dealing with the problems presented by it.

  Basically, the empirical investigation corroborates the initial assumptions. We found individual differences, attributable to creativity, in processes of attention, memory, details perception, cognitive images and metaphors as well as in the cognitive schemata were used. The same was found, in a lesser degree, in the Attention Control and the Functional Distribution of the processing.

  Question generation is proposed as the main identifier of the cognitive style creativity as it is the basic way of generating cognitive schemata from previous ones.
