Abstract The author, commencing with the concept of unconscious choice, which is postulated by psychoanalysis, indicates that part of the unconscious system is determined by the Other, while another part is undetermined. This question, which is elaborated at the subjective level, is also applied to the cultural level. In this manner, institutions also carry an archaic inheritance in their within. In the Círculo Psicanalítico de Minas Gerais, this inheritance is present at the level of the schools of thought and, also, at the level of historical circumstances.
Resumo A partir do tema da escolha inconsciente postulada pela psicanálise, o autor assinala que no sistema inconsciente temos uma ponte determinada pelo Outro e uma ponte indeterminada. Aplica no nível cultural essa questão que é elaborada no subjetivo. Assim, as instituições carregariam em si também uma herança arcaica. Essa herança no âmbito do Círculo Psicanalítico de Minas Gerais é colocada nas escolas do pensamento e nas circunstâncias históricas.
