From the systemic approach, the therapist is part of a therapeutic system, in which the subjectivity of the consultant and the therapist interact. In this intersubjectivity, the development of the Person of the Therapist (PDT) is relevant and implies the recognition and management of resonances to favor and not hinder therapeutic processes. The objective of this research was to describe how the person of the therapist is incorporated into psychologists who practice in primary health care (PHC). The methodology used was qualitative, with a descriptive design. A semi-structured interview was applied to six psychologists, who were analyzed by Thematic Analysis. The main results indicate that the concept of PDT is related to the emotional dimensions of the psychologist, involved in clinical work. Its relevance is perceived from the practical experience, identifying the importance of the inclusion of the PDT, the identification and management of resonances, from the characteristics, challenges and specific needs of the PHC context.
