El presente trabajo propone realizar un relevamiento de los resultados de la acreditación de carreras de Biotecnología y Genética en el marco de la primera fase: los déficits, recomendaciones y compromisos.Para ello se realizó la revisión y análisis de los informes de evaluación y resoluciones emitidas por la CONEAU sobre cada una de las carreras evaluadas en el marco de la normativa general vigente (Ley de Educación Superior – N° 24.521) y la normativa específica establecida por el Ministerio de Educación y la CONEAU.Entre los resultados se advierten las dificultades observadas en la recolección y presentación de la información requerida por CONEAU para realizar la evaluación y, por otro, las dificultades en el área de extensión que abren la posibilidad para la reflexión sobre el desarrollo de la actividad y sus implicancias en la comunidad.
The goal of this paper is to carry out a survey on the results of the certificationprocessin the careers of Biotechnology and Genetics within the context of the first phase: shortfalls, recommendations and commitments. To that end, we have reviewedandanalysed evaluation reports and resolutions issued by CONEAU on each of the assessedcareers within the framework of the current general regulations (Higher EducationLaw- No. 24 521) and the specific legislation established by the Ministry of EducationandCONEAU. The final outcomes reveal certain difficulties as regards the collectionandpresentation of the information required by CONEAU in order to carry out the evaluation and other additioanl issues related to the extension area which altogether open the possibility to ponder over the development of the activity and its implicationsin the community.
