  La motivación docente es aquel impulso o entusiasmo que lleva a alguien poder alcanzar una meta en beneficio de sus estudiantes. El enfoque de este estudio es cuantitativo, no experimental, instrumental y transversal. Tiene por objetivo evaluar las propiedades psicométricas del Cuestionario Motivación Docente Universitario (CMDU), para ello se accedió a una muestra de 246 docentes de una universidad privada de Lima, de los cuales 122 son mujeres (49.6%) y 124 hombres (50.4%) en edades entre 26 y 78 años. En el AFC se observa una estructura de cuatro factores que permiten que se ajuste al modelo X2 /gl=1.081, CFI y TLI=99, SRMR=.060 RMSA=.018. Se realizó una validez de contenido, constructo y confiabilidad α=.943 y ω=.943. En conclusión el CMDU tiene potencial para poder medir motivación en docentes universitarios, ya que cuenta con las propiedades psicométricas adecuadas.

  Teacher motivation is the impulse or enthusiasm that leads someone to achieve a goal for the benefit of their students. The approach of this study is quantitative, non-experimental, instrumental, and cross-sectional. Its objective is to evaluate the psychometric properties of the University Teaching Motivation Questionnaire (CMDU), for which a sample of 246 professors from a private university in Lima was accessed, of which 122 are women (49.6%) and 124 men (50.4%) between the ages of 26 and 78 years. In the TFA, a four-factor structure is observed that allows it to fit the model X2 /gl=1.081, CFI and TLI=.99, SRMR=.060 RMSA=.018.

  Content, construct validity and reliability were performed α=.943 and ω=.943. In conclusion, the CMDU has the potential to measure motivation in university professors, since it has the appropriate psychometric properties
