La psicología como ciencia surge del deseo humano por comprender la mente y la conducta. La fundación científica de esta disciplina ha debido atravesar por procesos complejos y a veces confusos para poder determinar cuál es su objeto de estudio y cuál es la metodología más apropiada para abordarlo. En un intento por revolucionar científicamente a esta rama del saber, la psicología cognitiva surge en un contexto de trabajo interdisciplinario entre varias ciencias, entre las cuales la cibernética y la inteligencia artificial jugaron un papel determinante. Ambas ciencias, la psicología cognitiva y la inteligencia artificial se influyeron mutuamente. En el presente trabajo se analizarán algunos hechos de su historia y algunos mitos que se crearon en relación al concepto de “inteligencia” y al concepto de “revolución” al estilo de Kuhn.
The psychology as a science emerged from the human desire of understanding the mind and the behavior. The scientific foundation of this discipline went through complex processes sometimes confusing, in order to be able to determinate which its object of study is and which are the most appropriate methods to address it. In an attempt to scientifically revolutionize this branch of knowledge, cognitive psychology arises in the context of an interdisciplinary work between various sciences, including cybernetics and artificial intelligence, which played a determinant role. Both sciences, cognitive psychology and artificial intelligence, influenced each other. In this paper we will analyze some facts of history and some myths that were created on the concept of “intelligence” and the concept of “revolution”- style Kuhn.
