Uno de los temas más polémicos en torno a las diferencias entre sexos se refiere a las posibles diferencias existentes en relación con las aptitudes y con el rendimiento. Dentro de este campo, la aptitud espacial y el rendimiento en matemáticas constituyen las principales áreas de estudio. En este artículo realizamos una revisión teórica sobre el estado actual en relación con ambos temas cuyas conclusiones apuntan hacia una eliminación de dichas diferencias que vendrían dadas, fundamentalmente, por razones ambientales y educativas.
One of the most exciting subject about human sex differences is the differences related to aptitudes and achievement. Within this area, the main subject of study are spatial aptitude and mathematical achievement. In this article, we offer a theoretical review about the present state of this question. Conclusions show the increasing dissapearence of such differences which are explained, mainly, by educational and environmental reasons.
